Clearwater's Dolphins Press Release 2

CLEARWATER’S DOLPHINS, A PUBLIC ART EXHIBITION

Video Trailer

Clearwater, FL (July 5, 2012) – The Clearwater Regional Chamber, along with support from Clearwater Marine Aquarium and the City of Clearwater, has launched a project to artistically showcase the bottlenose dolphin.  The pod has grown to over 35 dolphins.

A goal is to highlight the talented local artists as they uniquely decorate upright 6’ tall fiberglass dolphins.  The tie in with Winter and Dolphin Tale is a natural fit.  With over 50.000 guests visiting the Tampa Bay area for the RNC, it is an ideal time to draw attention to the beautiful beaches and marine life enjoyed by residents each day.  This exhibit will take place at Pier 60 Park, Clearwater Beach from August 6 – September 4, 2012.

A tremendous response has been received from artists/art groups and sponsors.  A few sponsors and event organizers have shared their thoughts in this video trailer on why Clearwater’s Dolphins and what they anticipate the benefits will be http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y6YiziX3aZc  .  Also hear where the dolphins will travel to after they leave the park.  Follow up mini-episodes will be available once the dolphins arrive in Clearwater, during the artists’ creative process and when all the finished dolphins are installed in the park.  Video produced by ZRP Video, Ziporah Paskman, Creative Director, http://www.zrpvideo.com/clearwaters-dolphins
